In the year 1945, the first atomic bombs dropped by mankind devastated the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Among those who survived, the long-term effects of radiation sickness, genetic and chromosome injury, and mental trauma have been catastrophic, even unborn children having been stunted in growth and sometimes mentally retarded. In 1945, just two nuclear weapons caused the deaths of more than 300,000 people. Today's thermonuclear weapons are 100 to 1000 times more destructive than the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. If unleashed, they could deliver horrors untold. A special feature.
