An internet cafe and video conferencing studio in Ladakh at an altitude of 13,819 feet respectively have been recognised as the world’s highest by the Limca Book of Records 2008.

The internet cafe and video conferencing studio at Nyoma in Ladakh have been recognised as the world’s highest by the Limca Book of Records this year, an official of the science and information technology department said here on Sunday.

The National Informatics Centre established the highest altitude video conference studio in January 2003, he said.

The Department of Information Technology established the highest altitude internet cafe in the community information centre at Nyoma in October 2006, he added.
