Hindustan Times' initiative to induce reading habits among the youth, HT PACE is available online on www.htpace.com. PACE - Partnerships for Action in Education, the Hindustan Times Newspaper In Education Programme was launched in 1998. At that time the print media was faced with a two-pronged challenge: an ageing readership profile and a significant decrease in reading habits among the youth.

The website is a repository of information on PACE. It carries regular updates on the events, workshops and visits conducted by PACE. Students and teachers can also download Curriculum Support Packages in PDF format from HTPACE.com. Information related to IIT entrance examination can be found in the IIT Edge section. Another interesting feature of the site is 'Speak Your Mind' section where students can send their opinions and feedback. This feature takes the level of interaction between PACE and the student community to a new level.
Student and teacher interaction with PACE would not be limited to a few school hours only; they can now interact on all days of the week through the web site. PACE is also planning to have an online directory of schools in North of India. |
