Faculty crisis
The state’s technical education sector is hit by an unprecedented shortage of teachers, writes Manish Chandra Pandey
SCENARIO IN HIGHER EDUCATION SECTOR
THE SCENE in the higher education sector of the state is just as bad. In 20 grant-in-aid colleges, the student strength is over 90,000. To teach these students, roughly 800 posts have been sanctioned.
CS: Implement programmes under NRHM effectively
CHIEF SECRETARY Atul Kumar Gupta has directed the Health Department to take measures for effectively implementing various programmes under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and to take assistance of the doctors associated with Indian Medical Association in the programme.
Family Welfare Dept plans interactive course
EVEN AS the efforts of the state secondary education department to introduce sex education in high schools have run into rough weather, the Family Welfare Department has now planned to introduce an interactive course on sex education for the teenagers
