Children find discarded military arms on riverbed

ARMS AND ammunitions belonging to the Indian Army were recovered from the bed of the river Pahua in Jhansi district. A bag containing the same was spotted by some kids on Thursday while swimming in the river near Jhansi-Shivpuri road. SSP, Jhansi told HT that the local police recovered the arms after children informed them about the bag.

IIM-L director’s term ends, no decision on successor

ON SUNDAY, the five-year term of IIM-L director Prof Devi Singh ended. There is no news yet on who the new director is going to be with Prof Singh handing over charge to a two-member committee comprising dean projects, Prof Sukumar Nandi and dean academics, Prof Yogesh Agarwal at an emergency meeting of the faculty council. 
Veteran Cong leader passes away

UP CONGRESS Committee (UPCC) president Rita Bahuguna Joshi expressed grief over the demise of a veteran party leader and ex-MLA Vidhya Bajpayee who died on Sunday afternoon. She had been suffering from cardiac illness since the last few days. “Her contribution to the field of education and social service would be remembered for a long time,” said Joshi in her condolence message.
